GORI / Legal information

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 26 October 2026 · Information under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

This notice covers motogori.com: the GORI brand website and heritage archive. It explains how personal data are processed when you browse, contact the brand or consult historical documents.

1. Data controller

Bettella Srl
Via Cesare Battisti, 6 · 35010 Limena (PD), Italy
VAT no. 03467850289
Email: info@bettella.com

For information about the processing of your data or to exercise your rights, contact the controller with “Privacy – motogori.com” in the subject line.

2. Browsing data and security

The infrastructure serving the website processes technical data needed for communication: IP address, request date and time, address of the requested resource, response status, and information transmitted by the browser and device. These data may be recorded in technical logs to serve the website, diagnose problems and prevent unauthorised access.

The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in the operation and security of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transmission of the necessary technical data is essential to receive the requested pages; without it, browsing is not possible. These data are not used to create advertising profiles.

3. Enquiries sent by email

If you use the published contact details, the controller receives your email address, identifying details and any information you choose to include in the message or attachments. These are processed to reply, provide support and follow up your enquiry. There is no need to send special categories of personal data, identity documents or irrelevant information.

For enquiries about products or services, the legal basis is taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For other communications, it is the legitimate interest in managing correspondence (point (f)). Providing data is optional, but without the necessary contact details and information we may be unable to reply. Sending an email does not subscribe you to newsletters or promotional communications.

4. Heritage archive: people, images and testimonies

The website publishes names, photographs, roles, sporting participation and testimonies contained in documents relating to GORI’s history. Sources include the former motogori.com website and the book Moto Gori. Ho fatto tutto con queste mani. La storia, i piloti, le moto, by Giancarlo Gori and Filippo Zerini; provenance is stated in the records and on the Sources and methodpage. These therefore also include data not obtained directly from the people represented.

The purpose is to document and make accessible the history of the brand, its products and racing activity. For personal data relating to living people, the legal basis is the legitimate interest in preserving and sharing company history (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), to be balanced against the rights of the people concerned. Published material is accessible to website users and, where stated in the record, downloadable; pages may be indexed by search engines.

If you recognise yourself in an item or notice an incorrect attribution, contact us with the page URL or resource identifier. You may request information, a correction or an assessment of removal, and object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. A document’s availability in a historical source does not exclude consideration of data subjects’ rights.

5. Cookies and services on the website

In its current configuration, the website does not integrate Google Analytics, advertising pixels, profiling tools, newsletter subscription forms, or embedded third-party videos or maps. Fonts and images used on the pages are served by the website. Archive searches and filters operate in the browser and are not sent to an analytics service. Details of technical cookies are in the Cookie policy.

6. Recipients and processing methods

Data are processed electronically by authorised personnel and, as required for their respective activities, by hosting, technical maintenance, security and email service providers. Where they act on the controller’s behalf, these providers must be appointed as processors under Article 28 GDPR. Data may be disclosed to authorities where required by law or to protect rights in legal proceedings. Correspondence data are not intended for publication; access to historical documents is described in section 4.

No decisions are made solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and no advertising profiling takes place.

7. Retention

Technical data are retained for the time needed to provide and protect the service, identify anomalies and manage incidents. Further retention may be necessary for legal obligations or to establish and defend rights. The criterion is necessity for the specific purpose, rather than indiscriminate retention of browsing activity.

Correspondence is retained to manage the enquiry and any subsequent relationship, taking account of the nature of the communication, applicable obligations and the periods for protecting legal rights. Historical documents are retained for as long as they remain relevant to documenting GORI’s history, subject to correction, restriction or removal following assessment of a substantiated request. Technical cookie durations are stated in the dedicated notice.

8. External links and transfers

The catalogue and purchases are provided on gorielaborazioni.com, which has its own privacy notice. Other external links open separate services: their rules apply when you visit them. The brand website does not embed those services’ advertising or analytics tools.

An external link does not in itself mean that the linked service is used while simply reading our pages. If the provision of technical services entails transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area, the controller must ensure the conditions in Chapter V GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. You may ask the controller for information about the providers involved, any transfer and the relevant safeguards.

9. Your rights

In the cases and within the limits set out in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise your rights, write to info@bettella.com. The controller normally responds within one month of receiving a request; any extension in the cases allowed by Article 12 GDPR is explained and communicated. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority, and seek a judicial remedy.

10. Updates

This notice is updated when website functionality or processing changes. The date at the beginning identifies the published version.
